My new website....finally!

In the spirit of wanting to do "A" before "B", and then never getting around to "A" (and therefore "B" as well), I convinced myself I would create my own custom blogging website before I started blogging, instead of using one of the many easy to use services out there, like wordpress or blogger.com. So here I am all these years later finally jumping in to the fray...

So what can you the eager reader expect on this site? Thoughts on current events, sustainable living, financial planning, politics, programming, and hopefully some decent nature pictures I've taken with a camera setup I've spent way too much money on. I am going to try and keep more personal stuff in a "friends and family only" portion of the site. As much of a fan I am of being an open book, I think a little privacy is warranted when it comes to the web.

So hopefully this is the first post of many to come...
